Well, AVP’s Holiday Celebration was a success. Thank you everyone that stopped by. For those that didn’t have a chance to, this episode is a brief recap of the night’s events and also includes two interviews from some very talented Etsy Shop Owners. First is Megan, who designs laptop covers, iPod cases, dog collars and more. Her shop is MegRNC. The second interview was with Anne, who designs Sony eReader covers. Anne’s shop is Anne’s Addictions. It was fabulous talking with each of them. Don’t forget to check out these shops on Etsy for some great gifts, not only for the holidays, but all year round!

The three steps I discuss will seem extremely obvious, but are sometimes easier said than done. Also, sometimes we all just need a little push to move past the obstacle.
Professor Lauri Smedley who teaches the Virtual Office Careers and Technologies course at Sacramento City College (part of the Los Rios College District) is my special guest for Episode 42 of A Virtual Perception. About a month ago, I was contacted by Professor Smedley’s assistant inviting me to participate in some research for a textbook she is writing which will aid individuals on their journey to becoming a Virtual Entrepreneur.
Being a self-proclaimed life-long learner, I was instantly intrigued by not only the research Professor Smedley is doing for her book, but also by the Virtual Office Careers course she is teaching. So, I asked her on the show to talk about both of these two items.
Professor Smedley is still conducting her research for the textbook and she has made available a questionnaire online for virtual assistants and virtual entrepreneurs alike to take part in. The questionnaire will be available until December 11th, 2009.
